Apply for the business permit

Without it the company may not trade, hire or invoice. It is granted to a manager who is of good repute, qualified and runs the business in person.

Where

MyGuichet.lu, Ministry of the Economy (Business Permit department, General Directorate for SMEs).

You need

Manager's ID, CV, diplomas or proof of experience, criminal record extracts from every country you have lived in over the past 10 years (bulletin n°3 in Luxembourg), proof of the registered office, draft articles, €50 tax stamp.

Up to 3 months, often faster

Good to know. You get the permit number; banks and the CCSS ask for it. You can apply while the company is still being formed.
