Open a bank account and pay in the capital
Your company needs a Luxembourg business account. Since June 2026 a SARL can pay in its €12,000 minimum up to 12 months after creation, and a SARL-S can pay in all its cash capital later. SA and SAS capital, contributions in kind and any amount above the minimum are paid in when the deed is signed.
- Where
- Spuerkeess, BGL BNP Paribas, BIL, ING, Raiffeisen, or an online bank that accepts Luxembourg companies.
- You need
- Founders' IDs and proof of address, activity description, draft articles, business permit or proof of application, source of funds.
- Cost
- Bank fees vary; the capital is your own money
- Time
- 2 to 8 weeks, often the slowest step
Good to know. If you pay in at the deed, bring the bank's blocking certificate (proof that the money is deposited) to the notary. If you pay in later, keep to the deadline: the unpaid amount is shown in the annual accounts.
